Facilitation & Communal Song
|
Rory Michelle Sullivan (she/her) facilitates gatherings and communal song experiences that create transformation, healing, and wholeness for individuals and communities. Her own joyful and moving songs, plus carefully curated "set lists" for the needs of your group and gathering, bring intentionality and power to the work/play of coming together for profound connection, healing, and (re)learning what it means to be human. Find her offerings here, or reach out below with your vision. |
Rory Michelle is a powerful, inspiring, and sought-after leader for her ability to create experiences that spark profound connection. She is beloved for uplifting others with her vibrant energy, infectious enthusiasm, presence, unbridled joy, and captivating voice.
She combines her over 15 years of experience as singer-songwriter, musician, songleader, composer, prayer & ritual leader, theater-maker, program-designer, curriculum-maker, and Jewish educator and her training via a Masters in Arts in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education into crafting intentional and relational gatherings (thank you Benny P. for this language) that inspire self-actualization, growth, healing, and wholeness, all while making the wisdom inherent in Jewish tradition relevant, meaningful, fun, and accessible.
Lovingly woven into each gathering is Rory Michelle's desire for people to feel present, deeply rooted in the moment, connected with themselves, each other, and a spiritual Source, in touch with and nourished by those soulful things that make us human - body, song, story, spirit - and inspired and supported to take the next steps along their Path, whatever that is for them. Rory Michelle acknowledges being a part of a Kollel (cohort) with Mitsui Collective: People of the Body as foundational to integrating the body into her work/play as a facilitator and sacred gatherer.
In addition to her facilitation work/play, Rory Michelle has released four albums of original music, including an album inspired by Jewish text (cheekily named "The God Album") and a concept album for her musical, Rising in Love, about an interracial Jewish couple growing up and navigating love in our modern world. She serves as artist/educator in residence, songleader, and prayer & ritual leader in a variety of settings and is a master at engaging all ages. From tiny babies to elders, from lively camp and synagogue Shabbat programs to contemplative healing services, Rory Michelle has touched thousands of individuals with her enchanting voice and spirit.
